Abbott Laboratories Q3 Earnings Fall to $920 Million Despite 14.5% Revenue Growth

Abbott Laboratories (ABT) reported third-quarter earnings of $920 million, or $0.53 per share, down from $1.644 billion, or $0.94 per share, in the same period last year, the company announced. Excluding items, adjusted earnings came in at $2.477 billion, or $1.42 per share. Revenue for the quarter rose 14.5% to $13.013 billion from $11.369 billion a year earlier. The company issued guidance for next-quarter earnings of $1.62 to $1.67 per share and full-year earnings of $5.50 to $5.55 per share.
