This notice covers the Ticklex public news website. We use visit and performance data to understand readership, operate the site and improve the reading experience. If you email us, the address and message you provide are also used to handle your request.
PostHog analytics
We use PostHog’s EU region for page views, article opens, effective reading and copy-link sharing events. Events can include page paths, article identifiers, language, device and browser information, timestamps and a random browser identifier. The collection request forwards the IP address to infer approximate geography.
The browser identifier is stored in localStorage. We do not deliberately associate it with your name or a login account. Session replay, automatic click capture and form-content capture are disabled. Page URLs sent to PostHog have query strings and fragments removed.
Other infrastructure
Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate visit and page-performance measurements. The site is hosted on Vercel; the integrated Speed Insights can measure performance when that service is enabled. Hosting and network providers may also process IP addresses, requests and error logs for delivery and security.
Providers may process data outside your location. Choosing PostHog’s EU region does not mean all website data is processed exclusively in Europe.
Your choices
Our PostHog collection respects the browser’s Do Not Track setting. Clearing this site’s local storage removes the identifier on your browser; it does not automatically delete events already received, and a later visit can create a new identifier.
Do Not Track’s effect on PostHog does not switch off all infrastructure logs or third-party measurements. Browser content-blocking tools can also control third-party requests.
Requests and changes
Use our contact page to ask about processing, access or deletion. We may need information necessary to locate your request. Do not send passwords or identity documents.
Analytics events and infrastructure logs have separate retention periods determined by the relevant service, project settings and processing purpose. Contact us to ask about applicable periods or request deletion. We will update this notice when tools or processing change.
