Agnico Eagle Mines Posts Higher Q3 Profit, Revenue Up 17.1% to $3.58 Billion

Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd (AEM) reported a rise in third-quarter earnings, with net income of $1.352 billion, or $2.67 per share, compared with $1.054 billion, or $2.10 per share, a year earlier. Excluding items, the gold miner posted adjusted earnings of $1.324 billion, or $2.61 per share, for the period. Revenue rose 17.1% to $3.583 billion from $3.059 billion last year, according to the company's GAAP results.
