Asian stocks rose Tuesday as Anthropic's long-awaited U.S. IPO filing, which disclosed steep losses alongside rapid revenue growth, revived appetite for the AI trade ahead of major tech earnings and central bank meetings. Meta Platforms' plan to raise up to $95 billion in its largest-ever equity offering added to the upbeat mood. South Korea's tech-heavy KOSPI gained 3.9%, its steepest one-day jump since early February, though the index remains down 17% in October. Japan's Nikkei rose 1.9%, MSCI's broadest Asia-Pacific index outside Japan added 0.9%, and a gauge of U.S. chip stocks climbed 2.8% overnight. The Fed, ECB and BoJ are all expected to hold rates steady this week, with traders pricing a possible Fed hike in December. More than a third of S&P 500 companies report earnings, including Alphabet, Microsoft and Amazon. Brent crude fell 0.7% to $114.95 a barrel, easing from a six-month high as investors weighed a possible resolution to the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran. The 10-year Treasury yield held at 4.992%, and the yen was steady at 157.61 per dollar.
