Arthur J. Gallagher Acquires Texas Benefits Agency Mund Group; AJG Shares Slip 0.02% Pre-Market

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) announced the acquisition of Mund Group, Ltd., an employee benefits agency based in New Braunfels, Texas. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Mund Group provides benefits consulting and health and welfare program solutions to businesses across Texas. Chairman and CEO Patrick Gallagher, Jr. said the firm "has a long-standing reputation in their community and will expand our employee benefits capabilities in Texas." In pre-market trading on the NYSE, AJG shares were down 0.02 percent to $259.22.
