Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Posts Higher Q3 Profit, Revenue Up 18.2%

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) reported third-quarter net earnings of $406 million, or $1.55 per share, compared with $273 million, or $1.04 per share, a year earlier, the insurance brokerage disclosed. Adjusted earnings totaled $782 million, or $3.00 per share, for the period. Revenue rose 18.2% to $3.976 billion from $3.365 billion last year. GAAP earnings came in at $406 million versus $273 million, with per-share results of $1.55 against $1.04.
