AutoNation Q3 Profit Falls to $162.3 Million as Revenue Slips 0.4%

AutoNation Inc. (AN) reported third-quarter net income of $162.3 million, or $4.87 per share, down from $215.1 million, or $5.65 per share, a year earlier, the auto retailer said. Excluding items, adjusted earnings totaled $170.3 million, or $5.11 per share. Revenue for the quarter fell 0.4% to $7.010 billion from $7.037 billion last year.
