Anthropic filed for an initial public offering Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, setting the stage for one of the largest market debuts in history and possible trading as soon as the week of November 16. The company did not disclose share count or price; reports suggest a valuation of up to $2 trillion. Shares will trade under the ticker ANT on Nasdaq. The filing details four categories of AI risk—misuse such as bioweapons or cyberattacks, loss of human control, authoritarian abuse, and economic disruption—across 93 pages of risk factors, well above Snap's roughly 30 and Uber's roughly 50 at their IPOs. Anthropic warned liability from extreme harm could exceed its insurance coverage. Revenue grew 1,300% year-on-year to $16.3 billion in the first six months of 2026, though the company reported a net loss exceeding $80 billion. Just under $9 billion stemmed from AI infrastructure and computing spending, while more than $72 billion was tied to changes in fair value of convertible notes, derivative liabilities and SAFEs. Anthropic was valued at $965 billion after raising $65 billion in May.
