ASM International Raises 2027 Revenue Target 24% to Over €5.7 Billion on AI Demand
ASM International NV sharply raised its 2027 revenue target by about 24% to more than €5.7 billion ($6.3 billion), up from its July forecast of over €4.6 billion, putting the Dutch semiconductor equipment maker on track to hit its 2030 growth goal three years early. The company said growth is being driven by dual demand from memory-chip and advanced-logic manufacturers, both key suppliers of materials for data-center AI infrastructure. ASM reported third-quarter revenue of €1.16 billion, up 44% year-over-year at constant currency, and net profit of €308.1 million, both beating analyst estimates. It also announced a share buyback program of up to €300 million. CEO Hichem M'Saad said the demand environment remains very strong, with customer capacity tight and output ramping faster. ASM's thin-film deposition equipment is a critical step in chip manufacturing. Its customers include TSMC (2330-TW, TSM-US) and Intel (INTC-US), which supply Nvidia (NVDA-US) and Apple (AAPL-US).
