ASMPT Swings to Q3 Profit on 48.7% Revenue Growth, Guides Q4 Higher

ASMPT Ltd. (ASMVY.PK, 0522.HK) returned to profit in its fiscal 2026 third quarter, posting net profit of HK$533.22 million, or HK$1.27 per share, versus a year-earlier net loss of HK$269.88 million. Shares fell 3.47% to HK$117.00 in Hong Kong trading Wednesday. Revenue rose 48.7% to HK$5.25 billion from HK$3.53 billion, driven by sustained AI infrastructure investment across advanced packaging, photonics, AI server boards and optical transceivers. Adjusted net profit climbed to HK$689.74 million from HK$117.64 million, and adjusted operating profit reached HK$922.35 million from HK$192.49 million. For the fourth quarter, ASMPT guides revenue of $670 million to $730 million, with the $700 million midpoint implying 4.6% sequential and 37.5% year-over-year growth on double-digit SMT gains. SEMI segment revenue is expected to stay flat amid longer lead times for advanced packaging products.
