Wallets linked to the Binance exploit are using decentralized exchanges Uniswap and Aave to swap freeze-prone stablecoins into Ethereum, according to Etherscan records for 10 wallets, eight labeled as exploiters. At least $5.5 billion has been drained from the exchange, with the tally still climbing — potentially the largest hack in crypto's 18-year history. Stablecoin issuers Tether and Circle blacklisted suspected attacker addresses, freezing more than $2 billion in tokens. Ripple froze about $200 million in RLUSD, senior VP Jack McDonald said. Because ETH has no issuer, conversions completed before a freeze are beyond reach. One relay wallet received 20,940 ETH ($45.58 million) from UniswapX at 20:34 UTC; another took 3,552 ETH at 20:47. Between 20:57 and 21:01 UTC, a wallet deposited $60 million in USDT into Aave and borrowed 19,762 ETH ($44.9 million), prompting Phylax Systems founder Odysseas Lamtzidis to warn of "contagion in full effect." Aave froze its V3 Ethereum mainnet markets; Kamino paused Solana and Bitcoin markets. Two wallets held roughly 253,000 ETH ($570 million) at 22:03 UTC. Binance co-CEO Yi He said user funds are "SAFU."
