Brown & Brown Q3 Profit Rises to $240 Million as Revenue Grows 7.4% to $1.725 Billion

Brown & Brown Inc. (BRO) posted third-quarter earnings of $240 million, or $0.67 per share, up from $227 million, or $0.68 per share, a year earlier, the insurance broker reported. Excluding items, adjusted earnings came in at $1.07 per share for the period. Revenue rose 7.4% to $1.725 billion from $1.606 billion last year. Per-share GAAP earnings declined slightly despite higher net income, reflecting a larger share count in the latest quarter.
