Salesforce to Acquire Braze for $5.7 Billion at $47.50 Per Share
Salesforce Inc. has agreed to acquire Braze Inc., an AI-powered marketing platform, for approximately $5.7 billion in enterprise value, the companies said Tuesday. Salesforce will pay Braze shareholders $47.50 per share, with the deal expected to close in Salesforce's fiscal 2028, beginning early February. Braze shares were halted before the New York market open, while Salesforce stock fell about 2.7%. Braze serves roughly 2,770 customers, including Canva, Equinox, Instacart and Venmo, according to a Salesforce statement. The acquisition adds a customer engagement and marketing automation platform to Salesforce's enterprise software portfolio. The transaction marks a further consolidation in the marketing technology sector as software vendors integrate artificial intelligence tools into customer outreach products.
