Central Bancompany Posts Q3 Earnings of $116.2M, Missing Wall Street Estimates

Central Bancompany Inc. (CBC) reported third-quarter earnings of $116.2 million on Tuesday, falling short of analyst expectations. The Jefferson City, Missouri-based bank posted earnings of 48 cents per share, below the 49-cent average estimate from four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research. Revenue for the period was $333.9 million. Revenue net of interest expense came in at $285.7 million, also missing Street forecasts of $287.2 million from three Zacks-surveyed analysts. The bank holding company's results reflect continued pressure on margins and lending income relative to consensus projections for the quarter.
