Centerra Gold Q3 Profit Falls to $88.7 Million Despite 26.6% Revenue Growth

Centerra Gold Inc. (CGAU) reported third-quarter earnings of $88.7 million, or $0.45 per share, down sharply from $292.2 million, or $1.43 per share, in the same period last year. Excluding one-time items, the company posted adjusted earnings of $71.8 million, or $0.37 per share. Revenue for the quarter rose 26.6% to $500.3 million from $395.2 million a year earlier, even as the bottom line contracted. The results reflect lower GAAP profit on higher sales.
