Colgate-Palmolive Q3 Profit Rises to $751 Million as Revenue Climbs 4.6%

Colgate-Palmolive Co. (CL) reported third-quarter earnings of $751 million, or $0.94 per share, up from $735 million, or $0.91 per share, a year earlier. Revenue rose 4.6% to $5.369 billion from $5.131 billion. Excluding items, the consumer products company posted adjusted earnings of $777 million, or $0.97 per share. The results compare against prior-year figures of $735 million in earnings and $5.131 billion in revenue. The company also issued full-year guidance, projecting EPS of $0.94 and revenue of $5.369 billion.
