Clorox Names Unilever Executive Fabian Garcia as CEO, Succeeding Linda Rendle

Clorox Co. (CLX) announced Thursday the appointment of Fabian Garcia as chief executive officer, effective January 5, 2027, succeeding Linda Rendle, who previously disclosed plans to step down for health reasons. Shares rose 1.89% to $88.53 in premarket trading after closing Wednesday's session up 0.85%. Garcia currently serves as president of Unilever's personal care business and sits on the company's leadership executive team. He previously served as CEO of Revlon. Rendle will continue as chair and CEO until Garcia assumes the role and will remain an adviser through April 2, 2027, to support the transition. Clorox plans to report first-quarter fiscal 2027 earnings results on November 2.
