CME Group Q3 Profit Rises to $1.036 Billion as Revenue Climbs 13%

CME Group Inc. (CME) reported third-quarter net income of $1.036 billion, or $2.89 per share, up from $896.6 million, or $2.49 per share, in the same period last year, the derivatives exchange operator announced. Excluding items, adjusted earnings came in at $1.083 billion, or $3.02 per share. Revenue for the quarter rose 13.0% to $1.737 billion from $1.537 billion a year earlier. Despite the gains, CME shares were down 2.72% at $287.27 in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq.
