Centene posts $71 million Q3 loss but adjusted earnings, revenue beat analyst estimates

Centene Corp. (CNC) reported a third-quarter loss of $71 million, or 14 cents per share, the St. Louis-based health insurer said Tuesday. Adjusted earnings came to 58 cents per share, surpassing the 7-cent average estimate from six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research. Revenue for the period reached $50.65 billion, beating the $47.06 billion forecast by five Zacks analysts. Centene projects full-year revenue between $196.5 billion and $200.5 billion.
