CenterPoint Energy Posts $331M Q3 Profit, Beats Analyst Estimates on Earnings and Revenue

CenterPoint Energy Inc. (CNP) reported third-quarter profit of $331 million, or 50 cents per share, topping Wall Street expectations, the Houston-based energy delivery company said Tuesday. Adjusted earnings, excluding non-recurring costs and merger-related expenses, were 53 cents per share. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research had expected 50 cents per share. Revenue for the period was $2.19 billion, also exceeding Street forecasts of $2.15 billion from four analysts surveyed by Zacks. CenterPoint guided full-year earnings to a range of $1.90 to $1.92 per share.
