Cathie Wood's ARK Buys $8.1 Million CoreWeave, Trims Palantir and Shopify

ARK Invest bought 132,498 shares of AI cloud computing firm CoreWeave (CRWV) worth about $8.13 million on October 19, its largest purchase of the day, according to the firm's daily ETF trading disclosures. The buys were made through the flagship Innovation ETF (ARKK) and Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW), extending a week-long buildup in CoreWeave, which provides cloud infrastructure for AI training and inference. The stock has swung on rising data-center financing costs and concerns over capital-spending returns. On the sell side, ARK offloaded 284,063 shares of genomics company Personalis (PSNL) for about $4.45 million via its ARKG fund, plus 20,755 Shopify (SHOP) shares worth roughly $3.52 million and 18,349 Palantir (PLTR) shares worth about $3.41 million. Combined sales of about $11.38 million exceeded the CoreWeave purchase. ARK also added three emerging biotech names: Iambic Therapeutics (IAM), Scribe Therapeutics (SCTX) and Freenome (PCSC), totaling about $1.89 million.
