CSL Appoints Deborah Waterhouse as CEO and Managing Director, Effective February 2027

CSL Ltd. (CSL.AX, CSLLY) on Wednesday named Deborah Waterhouse as chief executive officer and managing director, effective February 1, 2027. She succeeds Interim CEO and Managing Director Gordon Naylor, who will oversee the transition and return to his role as a non-executive director. Waterhouse has led ViiV Healthcare as CEO since 2017 and serves as president of GSK Global Health. She brings more than 25 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including prior leadership of GSK's U.S. vaccines and primary care businesses. The appointment followed an extensive global search and a unanimous board decision, the biotechnology company said. Waterhouse will remain based in the U.K. while spending significant time in Australia, the U.S. and CSL's major markets and operational centres. CSL shares closed Tuesday at AUD 196.08 on the ASX, down 0.11%.
