CytoDyn Names Robert Hoffman CEO Effective October 20, Replacing Jacob Lalezari

CytoDyn Inc. (CYDY) appointed Robert E. Hoffman as chief executive officer effective October 20, 2026, succeeding Jacob Lalezari, who has led the clinical-stage biotechnology company since November 2023. Lalezari will remain as head of research and translational sciences, focusing on advancing leronlimab in solid-tumor oncology. Hoffman, who joined CytoDyn in May 2025 as CFO, will retain his role as principal accounting officer. He previously served as CEO of Kintara Therapeutics and held CFO positions at Heron Therapeutics, Innovus Pharmaceuticals and AnaptysBio. The transition comes as CytoDyn targets 2027 for clinical results, regulatory progress and partnering opportunities. The company is scheduled to present updated Phase 2 CLOVER study data on leronlimab combined with TAS-102 and bevacizumab in metastatic colorectal cancer at the ESMO Congress 2026 in Madrid on October 25. CYDY closed Monday at $0.25, up 8.70%.
