TMTG CEO Kevin McGurn Declines Comment on Truth API Investigations

Trump Media and Technology Group CEO Kevin McGurn declined to comment Tuesday on investigations into the company's Truth API product, speaking onstage at Axios' Media Trends Live event in New York City. Democratic lawmakers have urged the SEC to investigate whether selling faster access to President Trump's market-moving Truth Social posts violates federal securities laws and constitutes insider trading. McGurn said the investigations are ongoing and that the company responds to government agencies when asked. "We're one of the most scrutinized businesses on the face of the planet," he said. TMTG launched Truth API earlier this year, selling faster access to posts from Truth Social's top 10 trending accounts. McGurn declined to provide figures but called the API "a good cash-positive business," adding that high-frequency trading platforms had inquired about it over the past 18 months. He said the company is recruiting more creators as it builds out its content and distribution platform.
