DexCom (DXCM) said its G7 15 Day continuous glucose monitoring system will be available in Canada beginning in November for adults aged 18 and older with diabetes. Shares were trading at $79.01, up 0.46%. The system offers up to 15.5 days of sensor wear and is authorized by Health Canada, with an overall mean absolute relative difference of 8.0%, a measure of glucose-monitoring accuracy. Features include customizable alerts, remote glucose sharing with caregivers, Dexcom Clarity app integration, direct Apple Watch connectivity, a 12-hour sensor grace period and a waterproof design. Public reimbursement for eligible Canadians with type 1 and type 2 diabetes is expected to begin in November, and private plans already covering CGM systems are expected to add coverage. Dexcom said it is working with automated insulin delivery partners and plans to extend the launch to their customers as integration work is completed. DXCM has traded between $54.11 and $92.59 over the past 52 weeks.
