Ecolab Posts Q3 Net Income of $551.3 Million, Revenue Tops Forecasts at $4.69 Billion

Ecolab Inc. (ECL) on Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $551.3 million, or $1.95 per share, with adjusted earnings of $2.18 per share matching Wall Street expectations. The Saint Paul, Minnesota-based cleaning, food-safety and pest-control services company posted revenue of $4.69 billion, exceeding the $4.67 billion forecast by eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research. The average estimate of nine analysts was also for earnings of $2.18 per share. For the current quarter ending in December, Ecolab expects per-share earnings of $2.13 to $2.23. Full-year earnings are projected at $8.10 to $8.20 per share.
