Ernexa Therapeutics (ERNA) released an investor video segment detailing progress on ERNA-101, its investigational allogeneic cell therapy for ovarian cancer, as the company works toward a first-in-human study. The segment features CEO Sanjeev Luther, Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Robert Pierce and Scientific Advisory Board member Dr. Christopher Rohde, discussing recent pre-investigational new drug interaction with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and its implications for the development program. ERNA-101 is built on engineered induced mesenchymal stromal cells designed to express interleukin-7 and interleukin-15 within the tumor microenvironment, aiming to support immune-cell recruitment and potentially enhance immune checkpoint inhibitor effects. Ernexa said its preclinical and IND-enabling studies have examined safety, biodistribution and tumor-homing characteristics, and it is continuing IND-enabling activities and clinical preparation. The company said advancing ERNA-101 toward clinical evaluation is its immediate priority, while the platform may be adapted for other solid tumors. ERNA traded at $2.07, down 1.90%.
