East West Bancorp Posts $382.2 Million Q3 Net Income, Beats Analyst Estimates

East West Bancorp Inc. (EWBC) on Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $382.2 million, or $2.76 per share, surpassing Wall Street expectations. The Pasadena, California-based bank holding company's average estimate from nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was $2.69 per share. Revenue for the period was $1.23 billion, while revenue net of interest expense came in at $822.7 million, also exceeding Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected $810.4 million.
