Freeport-McMoRan Posts $1.17 Billion Q3 Profit, Tops Wall Street Estimates on Earnings and Revenue

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (FCX) on Tuesday reported third-quarter earnings of $1.17 billion, with adjusted earnings of 88 cents per share beating the 80-cent average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research. The Phoenix-based mining company reported profit of 81 cents per share for the period. Revenue came in at $7.55 billion, exceeding the $7.09 billion forecast from five analysts surveyed by Zacks.
