FedEx Appoints AutoZone's Jamere Jackson as CFO, Effective Nov. 30
FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) named AutoZone executive Jamere Jackson as chief financial officer on Monday, effective Nov. 30. He succeeds Claude Russ, who has served as interim CFO since June 1 following John Dietrich's departure. Jackson has been CFO at AutoZone since January 2021, overseeing finance and store development. He previously held CFO roles at Hertz Global Holdings and Nielsen Holdings, and held leadership positions at General Electric. He also sits on Eli Lilly & Co.'s board as audit committee chair. The appointment comes as FedEx executes its Network 2.0 strategy to consolidate Ground and Express networks amid supply-chain volatility from high fuel prices tied to the Iran war and global tariffs. FedEx reported fiscal fourth-quarter results ending May 1, with full-year revenue up 9% to $94.7 billion and adjusted operating income up 17%. The 7.7% adjusted operating margin was its highest in four years.
