FirstEnergy Posts 26% Q3 Profit Gain, Reaffirms 2026 Guidance

FirstEnergy Corp. (FE) on Monday reported third-quarter net income of $557 million, up 26% from $441 million a year earlier, as revenue climbed to $4.6 billion from $4.1 billion. Earnings per share rose to $0.96 from $0.76 in the prior-year quarter. Core earnings, excluding special items, increased to $0.98 per share from $0.83. The utility reaffirmed its 2026 core earnings guidance range of $2.62 to $2.82 per share and said it expects results at or slightly above the midpoint of that range.
