FirstService's Century Fire Protection Acquires A&A Fire Protection; Terms Undisclosed

FirstService Corporation (FSV.TO) said its subsidiary Century Fire Protection has acquired fire sprinkler services provider A&A Fire Protection. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. A&A President Jake Gilstrap will continue to oversee day-to-day operations and retain a minority stake in the company, FirstService said. "This acquisition furthers Century's strategy of enhancing its scale and broadening its client base in existing markets," said Richard Deeb, CEO of Century. FirstService shares closed down 1.85% at C$188.62 in Toronto on Monday.
