GE HealthCare (GEHC) said Tuesday it has launched five clinical collaborations across three continents to evaluate StarGuide GX, its next-generation digital 4D SPECT/CT imaging system. The system uses dual-sided cadmium zinc telluride detectors for high-sensitivity, high-resolution quantitative and dynamic imaging, paired with NVIDIA RTX computing for image reconstruction. GE HealthCare said its Low-Medium Energy collimator delivers up to 2.67 times the system volume sensitivity of the NM/CT 870 DR with a LEHRS collimator, and a dual-collimator design eliminates manual external collimator exchanges. Collaborators include Hadassah Medical Center and Rambam Health Care Campus in Israel, Mayo Clinic in the U.S., Oncopole Claudius Regaud-Institut Universitaire du Cancer de Toulouse in France, and Peking University First Hospital in China. Evaluations will cover image quality, quantitative performance, dynamic imaging, workflow, oncology imaging and tracer research, including emerging alpha emitters such as Actinium-225. StarGuide GX received CE marking in November 2025 and is available in select EU markets. U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance is pending, and the system is not for sale in the U.S. GEHC closed Tuesday at $70.23, up 0.67%.
