Alphabet Q3 Earnings Fall to $26.17 Billion Despite 24.7% Revenue Growth

Alphabet Inc. (GOOG) reported third-quarter earnings of $26.170 billion, or $2.12 per share, down from $34.979 billion, or $2.87 per share, a year earlier, the company announced. Revenue for the period rose 24.7% to $127.577 billion from $102.346 billion last year. The results reflect GAAP figures. Earnings per share declined year over year even as the top line expanded by roughly $25 billion.
