Napa Auto Parts is partnering with Hy-Tek Intralogistics and Hai Robotics to deploy automated storage and retrieval systems aimed at maximizing storage density and improving warehouse throughput, the auto parts retailer announced Oct. 15. The system, integrated by Hy-Tek, uses Hai Robotics' HaiPick goods-to-person robotic platform, which automatically stores, retrieves and delivers contained and non-contained goods. The technology was evaluated in a live warehouse environment at Hy-Tek's Innovation Lab before deployment to validate performance and refine operations. "The system will improve order accuracy, increase operational efficiency and accelerate fulfillment," according to the press release. It is unclear whether the system has been rolled out across all Napa facilities; the retailer did not respond to a request for comment. The move builds on Napa's earlier expansion of BrightPick's AI-powered mobile robots, following a 2025 pilot. Napa joins other retailers including Nuuly and Cutter & Buck in investing in warehouse automation to cut costs and meet growth targets.
