Halozyme, Argenx Expand ENHANZE Deal to Eight Targets
Halozyme Therapeutics (HALO) said it expanded its global collaboration with argenx SE (ARGX), granting the company exclusive access to its ENHANZE drug-delivery technology for two additional therapeutic targets, raising total licensed targets from six to eight. The companies did not disclose the new targets. The expansion is intended to support development and commercialization of additional subcutaneous therapies in argenx's immunology pipeline, building on a collaboration that produced VYVGART Hytrulo. Under the agreement, Halozyme is eligible for milestone payments and will receive royalties on net sales of products using ENHANZE. The rHuPH20 enzyme-based technology enables subcutaneous delivery of injectable drugs as an alternative to intravenous administration. Halozyme said ENHANZE has reached more than one million patients, with 10 products commercialized across over 100 markets. HALO closed Tuesday's trade at $109.72, up 1.30%. ARGX closed at $930.52, up 1.93%, and rose 0.40% after hours to $934.25.
