Harley-Davidson Q3 Profit Falls to $42.76 Million as Revenue Drops 10.2%

Harley-Davidson Inc. (HOG) reported a sharp decline in third-quarter earnings, with net income falling to $42.76 million, or $0.40 per share, from $377.37 million, or $3.10 per share, a year earlier. Revenue for the period dropped 10.2% to $964.02 million from $1.073 billion last year, the company said. The results reflect weaker performance across both the bottom line and top line compared with the prior-year quarter.
