Highway Tops FreightWaves 2027 FreightTech 25 for Third Straight Year
Highway claimed the No. 1 spot on FreightWaves' 2027 FreightTech 25 for the third consecutive year, tying the record Amazon set from 2019 to 2021. The list was announced at the inaugural F3 Awards Dinner in Chattanooga, where all 100 FreightTech 100 winners were recognized. The Dallas-based company develops technology that helps freight brokers verify trucking companies, prevent cargo theft and fraud, and find reliable carriers. GenLogs placed second, putting freight fraud prevention at the forefront of this year's rankings. An independent panel ranks the 100 companies to determine the top 25, with voting overseen by accounting firm Henderson, Hutcherson & McCullough. Artificial intelligence was another major theme, with five AI orchestration and automation companies making the list for the first time: HappyRobot, CloneOps.ai, Augment, Pallet and Carrier1. Autonomous trucking placed four companies, up from three last year, led by Aurora at No. 4. Traditional transportation providers fell to two from eight in the prior year: C.H. Robinson (No. 11) and Amazon Relay (T-15).
