Shares of Jaguar Health (JAGX) rose 29.81% to $6.14 after the company said its family company, Napo Pharmaceuticals, will sponsor an intestinal failure discussion at the 2nd Best of Elite Ped-GI pediatric gastroenterology meeting in Abu Dhabi on October 30. The panel, "Intestinal Barrier Beyond Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)," will feature pediatric gastroenterology experts including Dr. Mohamad Miqdady, Dr. Christos Tzivinikos and Pravin Chaturvedi, Napo's and Jaguar's chief scientific officer. Napo is advancing a global development program for crofelemer powder for oral solution as an adjunctive therapy for rare intestinal failure diseases, including microvillus inclusion disease (MVID) and short bowel syndrome (SBS-IF). Jaguar is targeting a New Drug Application filing for MVID in mid-2027. Earlier data from ongoing studies of oral liquid crofelemer in pediatric MVID and SBS-IF patients treated more than one year showed substantial reductions in parenteral support requirements, with no significant clinical or laboratory abnormalities, Jaguar said. The company implemented a 1-for-15 reverse stock split on September 17, 2026.
