Labcorp Agrees to Buy Myriad Genetics' Prenatal Testing Unit for $210 Million

LabCorp Holdings Inc. (LH) said Tuesday it agreed to acquire the prenatal health testing business of Myriad Genetics Inc. (MYGN) for $210 million in cash, plus inventory value at closing, a deal expected to close by early 2027. The unit includes the Prequel, Foresight, SneakPeek and FirstGene prenatal testing products. Labcorp said the acquisition supports its specialty testing growth strategy and is expected to add about $160 million in first-year revenue. Labcorp expects the deal to be slightly accretive to adjusted earnings in the first year and to reach average diagnostics segment margins by the end of the second year after full integration. Myriad said proceeds will support investments in its cancer care businesses and that the sale is expected to be accretive to revenue growth and profitability. LabCorp shares rose 0.13% to $319.34 on the NYSE.
