LKQ Appoints Salvatore Abbate as President and CEO, Effective December 15

LKQ Corp. (LKQ) said its board appointed Salvatore Abbate as president and chief executive officer, effective Dec. 15, succeeding Justin Jude, who departs the company effective Friday. Until Abbate assumes the role, LKQ has formed an interim Office of the CEO led by Chairman John Mendel and Sue Gove, chair of the audit committee, to oversee operations. Abbate, formerly CEO of Veritiv Corp. after serving as its chief operating officer and chief commercial officer, brings more than three decades of experience leading large distribution and industrial businesses. He previously held senior roles at Andersen Windows & Doors, Solutia Inc. and Armstrong World Industries.
