Eli Lilly Q3 Profit Rises to $6.45 Billion as Revenue Jumps 38.6%

Eli Lilly and Co. (LLY) reported third-quarter earnings of $6.451 billion, or $7.22 per share, up from $5.583 billion, or $6.21 per share, a year earlier, the company announced. Excluding items, adjusted earnings came in at $6.679 billion, or $7.48 per share. Revenue climbed 38.6% to $24.397 billion from $17.601 billion in the prior-year period. The drugmaker guided full-year earnings per share to a range of $35.00 to $36.00 and full-year revenue to between $91 billion and $92 billion.
