Eli Lilly Raises Full-Year Revenue Outlook on Mounjaro, Zepbound Strength; Shares Jump 4% Premarket
Eli Lilly (LLY) raised its full-year revenue guidance to $91–92 billion from $85–87 billion on Thursday after third-quarter results beat estimates, though it cut its adjusted EPS forecast to $35–36 from $35.50–36.50 on acquisition-related costs. Shares rose 4.25% to $1,343.00 premarket. Third-quarter revenue reached $24.4 billion versus the $22.61 billion LSEG estimate, with adjusted EPS of $7.48 beating the $6.26 consensus. Net income rose to $6.45 billion from $5.58 billion a year earlier. Lilly booked $4.57 per share in acquired in-process research and development charges tied to the AtaiBeckley and Curevo deals; excluding transaction costs, the full-year profit midpoint would have risen $4.07 per share. Mounjaro sales climbed 65% to $10.72 billion, with ex-U.S. revenue up 93%, while Zepbound rose 49% to $5.35 billion. Total volume grew 53% against a 15% price decline. Oral weight-loss drug Foundayo, launched in April, posted $184 million, missing the $216.86 million estimate.
