Luxury home sales in Austin, Texas, fell by half week-over-week, with just five contracts totaling $15 million signed during the week of Oct. 19, according to the Reisor Team Weekly Luxury Report. The Compass-affiliated team tracks Austin and West Lake Hills properties listed at $2 million or more that went under contract. The report attributed the slowdown to the Formula 1 race at Circuit of the Americas and early voting for the 2026 midterm elections. The priciest deal was a $6 million, 5,000-square-foot single-family home at 1001 Live Oak Ridge Road in West Lake Hills, or $1,200 per square foot. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom house, completed in 2024, spent two weeks on the market; John Prell of Creekview Realty held the listing. Michael Reisor, founder of the Reisor Team, cited "continued demand for newer construction in established, highly desirable neighborhoods." Two properties traded at $2.6 million each: a W Austin Residences downtown condo at 210 Lavaca Street, Unit 2706, after 171 days, and a 1981-built West Lake Hills home at 1500 Surrey Hill Drive that sold in one week. A Tarrytown bungalow at 2304 Indian Trail listed at $2.5 million, and a gated West Lake Hills condo at 1910 Rue De Saint Tropez, Unit 4, listed at $2.2 million after 251 days.
