Average assets among Singapore's high-net-worth clients rose 6% over the past year to $1.5 million, while affluent clients' assets increased 5% to more than $565,000, according to a white paper by Citi Wealth and research firm RFI Global released Thursday. Mutual fund ownership among Singapore's high-net-worth investors nearly tripled to 31% in 2026 from 11% in 2022, the highest adoption level in Asia, outpacing India and South Korea. Despite the shift, portfolios remain heavily weighted toward liquidity: 72% of onshore affluent assets and 74% of offshore booked assets sit in cash and liquid deposits, a pattern echoed across other Asian wealth hubs. The study also found Singapore leads in intergenerational wealth preparedness, with 76% of individuals aged 55 and above having established wills or wealth succession plans.
