Citi Estimates Meta's AI Assistant Muse to Generate Over $27B in Annual Revenue by 2030
Citi projects Meta's (META) AI assistant Muse could generate more than $27 billion in annual revenue by 2030, citing its potential to become a new gateway for online activity and establish an early-mover position in the emerging personal AI agent market. Launched on September 8, Muse has surpassed 6.6 million cumulative downloads with 1.8 million daily active users, Citi said. The bank estimates the product could produce about $23 billion in transaction-related revenue and roughly $4.5 billion in subscription revenue annually by 2030, with commerce services as the primary income source. Muse sits at the core of Meta's AI strategy, aimed at embedding AI agents into daily user activity across its ecosystem. Competitors including OpenAI's ChatGPT Dots, Alphabet's (GOOGL) Gemini and Anthropic's Claude are also expanding AI agent offerings in the race for the next major consumer computing platform. Meta shares have risen 12.4% year-to-date and more than 20% since Muse's launch, pushing market capitalization close to $2 trillion.
