Mueller Industries Q3 Profit Rises to $221.2 Million as Revenue Jumps 31.6%

Mueller Industries (MLI) reported higher third-quarter profit, with net income rising to $221.20 million, or $1.00 per share, from $208.12 million, or $0.94 per share, a year earlier. Revenue for the period climbed 31.6% to $1.419 billion from $1.078 billion last year, according to the company's GAAP results. The industrial manufacturer's earnings growth came alongside the sharp top-line expansion, with per-share profit up 6 cents year over year.
