(GSEO, 3406-TW) said 3M Co. has completed payment on a NT$4.813 billion (about $150 million) private placement, giving the U.S. industrial giant roughly a 4.68% stake in the company. GSEO reported September revenue of NT$2.672 billion, down 1.75% month-on-month but up 0.54% year-on-year, with net income of NT$434 million, down 15% year-on-year, and earnings per share of NT$3.85. Revenue for the first nine months of 2026 totaled NT$19.631 billion, up 10.21% year-on-year. 3M subscribed to 5,534 GSEO shares at NT$869.6 each. The partnership combines 3M's expertise in expanded beam optics (EBO), materials science and optical design with GSEO's precision lens manufacturing and high-volume assembly. GSEO's production team will support mass production of 3M's EBO ferrules, co-packaged optics (CPO) solutions and related optical interconnect modules. For the fourth quarter, GSEO said results will depend on customer new-model sales, with other product lines still in sampling and certification.
