Merit Medical Systems (MMSI) acquired Solo Pace, Inc., a Minneapolis-based maker of temporary pacing technology for aortic stenosis patients, purchasing the remaining shares on October 13, 2026, for approximately $45 million. Shares fell 6.84% to $87.00 on the Nasdaq. The deal adds Solo Pace's SOLO PACE CONTROL and SOLO PACE FUSION systems, designed for TAVR and other transcatheter heart valve procedures, strengthening Merit's Cardiac Therapies business. Merit had previously invested in Solo Pace and served as its exclusive distributor. The acquisition builds on the existing partnership and supports Merit's plans to expand its structural heart portfolio with technologies intended to simplify procedures and assist physicians.
