Monolithic Power Systems (MPWR) Beats Q3 Estimates with $8.19 EPS, Revenue Hits $1.2 Billion

Monolithic Power Systems Inc. (MPWR) reported third-quarter net income of $271.1 million, or $5.51 per share, exceeding Wall Street expectations, the chipmaker said Thursday. Adjusted earnings, excluding stock option and pretax expenses, came in at $8.19 per share, topping the $7.80 average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research. Revenue reached $1.2 billion for the period, also beating the $1.16 billion consensus forecast. For the current quarter ending in December, the West Palm Beach, Florida-based company guided revenue to a range of $1.32 billion to $1.39 billion.
